Description
An estimated 5,000 people attended the Rillito River Project's yearly event, Bat Night, which celebrates the local bat population while raising awareness about the steeply declining water tables that endanger their habitat.
We were asked to design a poster and a children's sand pail. The client requested “dark and mysterious, yet family friendly,” a feeling we created using silhouettes of the indigenous mexican free-tail bats paired with warm typography. The biggest success was in finding a pail that was made of 100% recycled plastic and was recyclable itself.
